Relax and Culture

RELAX

Discovering the hinterland of Malcesine you can find beautiful walks suitable for everyone, from scenic walks to those along ancient mule tracks and paths among olive trees. A different experience that brings the guest closer to local traditions.

In addition to relaxing walks, the area offers the possibility of wonderful bike rides (thanks to the various rental bike points in the country, it will not be difficult to find the one that’s right for you: city-, mountain and e-bikes available on request) suitable for the whole family.

Looking for the most beautiful beaches on Lake Garda? In Malcesine there are so many: beaches with white pebbles, bays with blue waters, private and equipped beaches, ” dog friendly ” but also public beaches framed by bars and restaurants with breathtaking views. Choosing where to relax has never been easier.

CULTURE

Between nature, sport and relaxation we certainly cannot forget the artistic and cultural heritage: the Scaligero Castle built by the Lombards (home to important collections of history, paintings and ancient Venetian galleys) and the Palazzo dei Capitani (built by the Scaligeri during the 12th and 14th centuries) with its garden on the ground floor and the frescoes on the first floor.

The recently opened Lake Museum is located on the small port of Cassone, a small fraction of Malcesine. Ideal to visit, perhaps on rainy days, interesting for families and even children. In the museum of Lake Cassone, you will find ancient tools used for fishing on display, but also objects of daily use, which our ancestors left us as a legacy and memory of a not so distant past. Another interesting stop is the Vittoriale degli Italiani, between Salò and Toscolano Maderno. Gardens, streets, squares, houses, libraries, streams, amphitheater: when you arrive at the Vittoriale for the first time, you don’t know exactly what to expect. And indeed every corner is a surprise; a little big world in itself, perfectly set in the lake territory.
